- Can I upload music for my buddies? No, the subscription is for one artist. for artists who work with different collaborators, you can upgrade to one of our ARTIST subscriptions, starting at 5,95 a month. For record labels and artist managers we have different subscriptions.
- Do I keep all my royalties or do you charge a fee? YOU KEEP 100%with our premium subscription, and 95% with the free subscription (you take care of taxes when required) of your royalties. Uploading music is always free
- Do you provide an ISRC and UPC code, and do you charge for that? PlayTreks provides you with an ISRC and UPC code for FREE when you do not have one already.
- Do you also provide a PRE-SAVE link? Very soon we will provide you with pre-save links, for free.
- Can I set up splits for music contributors while uploading music? YES YOU CAN, you can add percentages for contributors while uploading your music.
- How can I see the collected sales data? You can see the sales data in your artist dashboard, which also shows the splits
- Do you allow me to upload lyrics? Yes, while going through the music upload process you can immediately upload your lyrics.
- Your release can be live in Spotify within 3 working days of purchasing, however, we do generally advise allowing up to 3 weeks for all stores to become live.

- Does my music remain registered, even when I cancel my membership? Yes, once you download the certificate you have the proof. It contains a “hash”, a calculated value or fingerprint that is unique to your song. It proves that the file that you uploaded is the file that playtreks recorded on the blockchain. Forevermore your unique entry will be on the distributed ledger, and you need to place the certificate for your song, along with the file that you uploaded with no changes, in s safe location. If you change the name of the file or make any edit at all, it will no longer be linked to the certificate. playtreks will keep a copy on our servers.
Another key benefit and service are that we will attest and certify to the authenticity of the process and your file, and execute an affidavit and agree to be deposed in Hasselt, Belgium as an expert witness in the case of legal action regarding the secured song.

How does this service work?
The way it works:
1) you have a playtreks account – It includes your identity including name, email, address, etc.
2) you upload a file – a music MP3, a document for lyrics, sheet music, etc.
3) the software calculates a unique “hash” of the file (an encrypted code)
4) The file is stored on the AWS Service cloud in a secure and private location.
5) The hash code is then recorded on the blockchain by performing a small transaction, this is the Time Stamp.
6) The blockchain is finalized once separate blockchain servers from around the world all agree and confirm they have recorded the transaction in the public distributed ledger, which can never be changed. (you can search for the transaction using a blockchain explorer and see when it was recorded)
7) The transaction is paired with your certificate and file in the playtreks cloud storage
8) The PDF certificate is generated, and you download it, print it (if desired), and save it along with the original file someplace safe.
